Training wheels-no more!

Camrynn learned to ride her bike on Sunday!! She had been telling us for awhile now that she wanted her training wheels off. So we took them off one day and she tried it out and decided that maybe it wasn't such a good idea! It was harder than she expected:) She wanted her training wheels back on! We told her that once they came off we couldn't put them back on again so she would just have to keep trying. We took her out a couple times and did the whole running along holding onto the seat thing and she just would keep putting her feet down and wanting to get off. She then decided she didn't want a bicycle anymore. So Gene put it in the back of his truck and pretended to take it away. After a few days she wanted another chance so we got it back out and let her practice by herself and lo and behold... She was riding her bike!!! I guess she learns better by herself than with mine and Gene's help! Plus we bribed her :) I told her that if she learned to ride her bike she could get a new one for her birthday. All she wanted to know is if it could be pink?!?!

We bought a new loveseat for our upstairs

living room. Now we have seating! Before

we only had the one chair and the room looked

pretty empty!

Seems now that we have an actual guest room,

we don't have that many guests over!!

Funny how that works....

And here is our office. We got a new (free)

desk and I am going to use it to scrapbook on! Yay!!

Can't beat free! I'm only showing you half

the room because I haven't painted the other 2

walls yet. hee hee. More to come later!

Another angle so you can see how great it

will be to scrapbook on. haha! And this is how our front yard is looking. Much better:) We removed a bunch of ivy... Yes removed, if you can't tell by the massive amount that is still there! And the previous owners had some odd addiction to dead wood. So we removed all that! We added plants and mulch to the front flower bed and it made it look SOOO much better!! And the lights up the walk way are rather nice too!
