Christmas!

Sorry it's a little late, but here are some pictures from
Christmas! We spent Christmas in Delta at my parents.
We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas night
at Gene's parents. We sure did have a
good time, and we barely fit it in the car to get it all home!
Santa brought Camrynn just what she wanted! A
computer! She also got a cupcake full of cooking stuff for
her kitchen that Santa brought her last year. Santa even left
a note telling her that she had more suprises at home, since he
couldn't leave them in Delta. So when we got home, we found
that Santa had left her two new fish in her fish tank! Here is one of the many toys she got for Christmas. A cute little dog that can be dressed up! She is sitting on a rag quilt that I made! Took me forever to finally get it finished, she was supposed to get it for her birthday:) I didn't want to post any picture of lovely me without makeup but I thought I better include some of me and Gene! We got a digital camera from my parents. And Gene is thrilled that it's pink! Good thing he's color blind ;)

Snow Fun!

We got our first big snow storm over the weekend and so we bundled
up and headed outside to play in the fresh powder!
Here's Camrynn making a snow angel!
Gene always has to start a snowball fight. This
year Camrynn could fight back:) I think she was doing
a pretty good job of defending herself!
They tried to make a snowman, but the snow didn't
want to stick together. But they made a nice mound:)
They also made a hill in the backyard to sled down. Our sled
broke last year so Gene improvised by using an old dish network
satellite:) It didn't work as well as he thought it should. Bummer!

Oh Christmas Tree

We got our first Christmas tree last week.
It's our first big tree, all we have ever had is small short ones and a palm tree:) So it's our first real tree! Real=fake:)
I bought a few decorations and decorated it and
I think it turned out good!
Here's a picture of Camrynn posing with it.
I don't have that many decorations that will all go
together so I stuck a couple signs and stars in there that
are actually meant to hang on the walls.
I think it looks good though!

Here's some of my new decorations and my new tree skirt:) Kinda bare under there, guess I better finish my Christmas shopping and get them wrapped and under the tree!

12 days of Christmas Tag

Now for the very long tag:"On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me..."

1 embarrassing moment: I was in the spelling bee in like 6th or 7th grade and I was so short I couldn't reach the microphone. So they had to hand it to me everytime I stepped up there. How traumatic! haha. Needless to say, I didn't do very well:)

2 best friends: Gene and my mom

3 things you buy regularly: milk, bread, dog food, pepsi

4 places you want to go (and might actually REALLY go): Las Vegas, Disneyland, Hawaii, Italy

5 goals for the upcoming year (that you might actually do): Get in shape, eat more healthy, scrapbook more, cook more, cook better:)

6 things most people don't know about you: I hate vegetables, I like to clean, I had cancer, I grew up on a farm, I have a fear of roosters, I'm afraid of water!

7 things you would never say: 'I wish I never had kids', 'I hate my family', 'I don't drink pepsi', 'No, I won't go to lunch with you', 'I hate shopping', Wish death on somebody, 'No, I don't want that peanut butter cup'.

8 things you love about the Christmas season: giving gifts, recieving gifts, baking, holiday spirits, spending time with family, good food, Camrynn on Christmas morning, giving the perfect present!

9 things you say to your kids: I love you, go potty, clean your room, eat your dinner, NO!, give me hugs and kisses, be nice, share, good job.

10 things you do a lot: Feed Camrynn, go to work, get on the internet, sleep, cook, clean, brush teeth, laundry, go out to lunch, talk to my mom.

11 things you would rather not live without: family, friends, my home, our health, our jobs, food, my cell phone, internet, the gospel, money, my car!

12 people to tag: I don't know that many people on here! So whoever reads this can do it!

For the WIN!

As you know from my previous post, we got to go to the BYU-Utes game on Saturday. What a game! We all had a blast riding up there together and eating lunch before the game. We played some football of our own in the parking lot before the game and some poker too. Well, I should say 'they' played football and poker. I'm not so good at either of them... Then it was on to the game! Here's Heather and Dallas at the game! That Heather, she sure is a fan! Yelling at screaming, talking back to those BYU fans:) Hey, on her behalf, they started it! You can see the sea of red, and this was before the game started so the stands weren't even full yet! Now here is Gene and I. If you look behind us you will notice all the blue.... It was a sea of blue all the way to the top! They sure were full of themselves, yelling and talkin crap. That is until we beat them 48 to 24!!!!! They were pretty silent the second half. Then they all left the game before it ended. They knew it was over:) Can't say I don't blame them. Here's the field after the game. The announcer told everybody to stay off the field. Silly announcer.... I tried to get the scoreboard in there, but you can't read it. Dang camera phones! But it sure was a great game! We can't wait for next year!! Good Luck Utah at the BCS bowl. Let's try for an undefeated season!! GO UTES!

Every year we go with Gene's family. Well, this is only the second year doing this, but it's going to continue to be a family tradition! I am excited because this year the Utes are going to trample BYU!
GO UTES!!!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!
Camrynn was a scarecrow this year.
This year Camrynn watched Pooh's Halloween Heffalump movie (and was scared). Then we celebrated with a pumpkin shaped pizza from good ol' Papa Murpheys and started our trick-or-treating at around 5. We headed into Cedar first and visited the people we knew and then made our way back to Enoch. Since we are in a real neighborhood this year, Gene was excited to get home and pass out halloween candy. We had more trick-or-treaters this year than the last 3 years combined! Camrynn and I made our way around the block and were able to meet some of our neighbors. All in all it was a very fun halloween and I think it will only get better as Camrynn gets older:)
Here was Camrynn's first halloween, well actually her 2nd since
she was only 2 weeks old for her '1st' halloween.
What a cute flower!!
And here she is as a chicken/duck! I LOVE this costume!!

Our first home!

We bought our first home in May of this year! It was a rather quick process for us, one day we were just checking out houses around our neighborhood and then next thing we knew we were making an offer! We bought a foreclosed home for a heck of a price. But it sure did need a lot of work!! We had to put new carpet in the basement, new flooring in the kitchen and paint the whole house! And the yard was dying, but we brought it back to life. It's funny, but from the outside of the home it looks really really small. But it's really not. It is an 1800 sq. foot home and has 4+ bedrooms, 2 baths, a 'sitting' type room upstairs and a family room downstairs. Here are some picture taken after we had finally done all the renovations. It sure looks like a different house then what is was! This is our family room in the basement. Too bad you can't see the new carpet! The walls kinda look pink in this picture, but they are actually a light tanish color.
Here is what we call the 'sitting' room. We are eventually going to buy some new furniture so we will actually have a place to sit:) But this one chair is all we could do for the moment!
This is our kitchen (obviously). We had to buy a new fridge and put in new flooring and it transformed the room! I have a bunch of dishes stacked on the counter because this was before my parents were able to give us their old dishwasher! I hating washing dishes, so thanks mom & dad!!!
This is our bedroom! And that's the headboard that Gene made me for my birthday!
What a handy husband. And here is Camrynn's room! I painted it pink and green to match her bedding and it turned out so cute! She has a 'bug/butterfly' theme in her room. This was one of biggest changes in the house!
I also want to thank everybody who helped us make our house a home. We couldn't have done it without you! Thanks for all the painting you helped us with!! That was a BIG help. And thanks for all the gift cards to Home Depot:) We love and thank you all!!
Stay tuned, I will get around to putting up the 'Before' pictures
so you can see what a change it really was!!

Fall Photos

A couple weeks ago we took a trip up Cedar Canyon to look at all the pretty colors. The leaves were just beginning to change at the time. It's lucky we got up there when we did because it snowed a week later and now all the leaves are gone! We wanted to get some family pictures done and had planned to do so with Mandi, Ben and Ryker. But we never could find a time to get together and now we have lost our chance. We will have to shoot for winter pictures I guess!!
This picture above is one of my favorites with the bright red leaf poking out.

Cruising down the road.

Still some green leaves in the trees!

And here is the snow that caught us all off guard!! Sure makes for a pretty picture though!

Camrynn turned 4!!

Camrynn blowing out her candles!
Our baby girl just turned 4!! She is growing up so fast. We had a birthday party for her at a neighborhood park here in Enoch. A bunch of our family was able to make it down and it was a really nice weekend other than the wind:( The park we were at had a horseshoe pit and a mini golf course so there was a bunch to do for everyone. Camrynn got a bunch of presents and loved every bit of it! Thanks everyone! She was excited to get 'Sleeping Booty' (that's what she calls it!!)

This is her really excited face. She is such a ham:)

Playing at the park!
