End table restorations

While out and about over the last couple
of months I have come across a couple
old used and abused end tables.
I decided I could give them a good home
and a complete makeover!
I got this one at Dean's Friday store here in
Delta for $5. With some primer, paint
and glaze it is a whole new table!
It is a bit smaller than I wanted, but it
works for now:)
I have been testing out different colors
to see which ones I like best.
What do you think?
This one came from a storage liquidation/yard sale
and again I only paid $5!
It seemed really bright at first,
but the glaze toned it down
while adding a bit of character.
And this is the first one I did.
If you remember I did a previous post about it.
I really like the design on this one.
And the color:)
I was stupid and didn't get any before or after
pictures. This blue one I got pictures of after
it had been primed. But I have really got
to remember to take pictures so you
can get the full effect!!
Maybe next time...
I am on the look out for a sofa table
or entry table I can re-do.
Any color suggestions??

Halloween 2010

Camrynn was a bumble bee this year!
At school they had a Kindergarten parade.
They were supposed to sing and dance, but
they must not have went over it because
the teachers were the only ones singing and dancing:)
It was a good Halloween and our first time
back here in Delta! It was nice to actually know
people:) And when they handed out popcorn
balls you could eat them because you knew they
were safe!! haha. She got some cool things this year,
a box of crayons, playdoh, glow sticks, pencils,
Squeeze its!! The guy told her to take one Squeeze It
and I look over and she is trying to put the whole
thing in her bag!! HAHA! I told her ONE drink,
not one package!

Camrynn's 6th Birthday!!

My baby turned 6!! How can this have happened?
It seems crazy, but Camrynn celebrated her 6th birthday
on Oct. 17th! She got spoiled as usual:)
Here she is with all her loot! Well from us anyways! Enjoying some tasty cake!
Grandma Pace got her some clothes for her
Build a Bears and a mermaid barbie that
she has been wanting so very bad!
I had got her one, but apparently it wasn't
good enough, so she kept asking for one:)
She also got a new winter coat!
Looks cozy!
I may have a nervous breakdown next year
when she turns 7...

Halloween Craft

I decided I wanted to do a Halloween
craft this year since I don't have many
Halloween decorations. So I decided on a
craft, bought all the stuff and then I invited some
friends over to craft with me!
Here is how mine turned out! (above)
I just went o the Dollar store and bought cheap
frames and I mean they are cheap! Flimsy as
can be!! And then I spray painted them black and
we added scrapbook paper for an easy and cheap
decoration. You can change the paper up for each
month! Then the blocks were just wood
with scrapbook paper and the vinyl lettering!
Here are Kristy's blocks! And Brittney's BOO blocks:) I had some extra so Mom decided to be crafty too and came over and made some blocks for herself! I think they turned out great!!

Just visiting

Back in September we went to Salt Lake to visit Gene's
friend Jeremy. He had just recieved a kidney transplant!
He is such a deserving guy and we were thrilled
to learn that he had found a donor. What an
awesome person you must be to donate your
own kidney to someone!
Jeremy was doing remarkably well. And has
been ever since. I didn't take pictures, because
who really likes pictures when your in a hospital?!
We also visited Shanna and Alan. They were
nice enough to let us stay in their spare room.
We had a good time and went to dinner Saturday and Sunday, (Alan was being studious) we went to feed the geese.
Gene being the hard worker he is insisted that
he needed to catch up on his sleep on the
way up AND the way back. So I was stuck driving.
Camrynn decided to sleep too.
So since they decided to sleep. I decided to
take blackmail photos. Well, that doesn't really
work with Camrynn... But it does with Gene!
He will love to know that I posted him sleeping
on the blog:)
While I was playing photographer there was
a big fire in the Draper area and the whole
valley was filled with smoke. So I took a picture.
The sun was actually a cool pink color, but
it doesn't come across in the picture.
I like the reflection on the lake:)
